Camera repair is NOT a "do it yourself" project. Look through your Owner's Manual and somewhere you'll see a lightning bolt icon beside this: "WARNING! Do not attempt to repair camera yourself. Severe electrical shock may result." You see, inside the camera is a device called a capacitor. It stores 1,000's of volts to fire the flash.

Take your camera to the store where you bought it and have them check it. If it has to be sent in to a service center you'll get an estimate for the repairs. It may be cheaper to just buy a new camera.

You have completed all the work that you're competent to do. Unless you have an electronics certification and the equipment and service manual to work on circuit boards send it in for an estimate. Probably chepaer to buy a new one unfortunately...

Is that a rechargeable battery you replace? If it is not, try one.
