I don't like the print your own kind, I tried them for my save the date cards and they came out horrible. Please do not suggest this as an option. I am looking for a reputable place someone has ordered cheap but nice invitations from and were satisfied. I have tried GOOGLE and such to no avail. I can't find anything affordable yet decent looking. Please help, we are on a terribly tight buget, yet I don't want to go without traditional invitations and response cards. Thank you

Call printing companies in your area to see what they charge. Many tuxedo rental places will give you a 40% discount on Carlson Craft items if you rent from them.

I know that you mentioned that you didn't want advice on printing your own, but I have simple instructions. I'm guessing that your date cards were a mess because they weren't centered. If you have Microsoft publisher it is very very simple, honest. I struggled with other programs until I found publisher and now they turn out beautiful.
My friend bought a simple blank card with a small silver boarder which cost 20.00 for 50 at Hobby Lobby.

How many would you need? I can look in my invitation book and see what the cheapest invite is and describe/email a picture to you.

Try Michael's Crafts. They have tons of kits in many different price ranges. If you sign-up for their weekly emails they send of 40% or 50% off coupon EVERY WEEK! We got our invitation and save-the-date card kits for less than $100 (two Martha Stewart invite kits (96 invites) and one Martha Stewart save-the-date/thank you card kit (48 cards)) plus the embellishment stamps for the envelops. They are really gorgeous and with the coupons they were really affordable. The Martha Stewart wedding stuff were the most expensive kits Michael's had, but they have a lot of other kits for less. Just visit the Michael's site to sign-up ... it was the best wedding planning thing I've done so far because I've saved so much money already, and I haven't even started buying things to make the favours and centerpieces! Good Luck!

www.vistaprint.com may be a good option for you.

Invitations by Dawn are also great, also try Now and Forever invitations as well.

also try, www.willowtreelane.com, their prices are outstanding and the quality of the invites is fantastic, I used them many years ago when I too was on a tight budget and since then I have recommended them to many others and everyone I know that has used them has been very pleased.

You should really try going to a craft store, getting some nice elegant invitation paper and some decorative scissors and make them, my sister invitations came out beautifully, I am getting married Oct 2008 and I plan to do the same thing !!! Saves money and is a bunch of fun!!!!!!

We ordered wedding invitation on Costco.com. They have varying prices and we were very happy with the least expensive. We sent out over 400, so you know it was a huge expense. They came in less than a week beautifully boxed and perfect!

I have seen several links to invitation engravers here, but don't have the links at my fingertips... you may find some in previous questons.

Have you looked at Party City? They have several books of invitations and looks like they have a fairly broad price range.

In my yahoo browser I typed wedding invitations and got bunches of links.

Congrats and best of luck.

i personally recommned staples. i've done so many different invitations from them for different events and weddings i had to plan for those couldn't afford a professional but want beautiful invitations. they have many styles. dont laugh walmart has some great stuff, and other stores like office max. another store i reccommend is Micheals. they are wedding heaven i call it there. it's a craft store and have so many wedding stuff there from invitations to a tiara. There's a lot of invitations, from traditional, to contemporary, modern, country versions of inviations, that they have done, or you can create yourself.

A coworker of mine recommended www.princessinvitations.com and that is where I probably am going to order from as well. They are cheaper than most online (and offline!) places I have seen and she said her invitations were beautiful and that they provided excellent service.

I bought mine from invitationsbydawn.com. They were inexpensive, but they look great. I also received them about 4 days after I placed the order.
