They don't really run, they ignore, which is something they soon will find was futile.

Some people dont run, they just drift away from god. They lose contact with what made church, god, and religion work for them in the past. or something happens in their life that makes them think twice about the existance of god.

They ran away from real life.

Because they can't have "ran" away in that tense. They may very well have RUN away, though. God's a big dude, though, so I bet he could easily outpace 'em.

You tell me - you ran away from THOUSANDS of gods

The only god you think is real is the one your parents told you was real - coincidence?

Nobody has ever provided any evidence that any gods, much less a specific god, exist. People believe in specific gods because of indoctrination from an early age, tradition, hallucinations, fear of torture (for gods sadistic enough to threaten it) and other similarly illogical reasons. But no gods exist in reality; these are all stories, created for people who were scared of the world long before we understood it. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

There is no God to run away from. Most have just accepted that.

People haven't left God, per se. Many people have seeked escape from the tyrannical confines of fundamentalism.

God has nothing to do with it. Rational thinkers run away from delusional thought.

I run away from religion. God, in my opinion, is conjured by religion. It's a distinction you must be aware of.

Many have. What's scarriest is those who've run away from God to corrupt organized religions. Heck the money-changers Jesus whipped are all over the TV making a mockery of Christianity.
