First...thank you for taking in an abused dog.

To find out what toys he likes, you may have to try a few: ball, kong toy, rope, frisbee, all of the above.

How long have had your new guy? He may not be so picky, but nervous. Remember, he was abused. Give him time...he may like beef, after all.

You can be very calm, keep your voice steady and show him lots of love and affection. Abused dogs require special attention, as they can be very submissive, or snap out of fear.

Consider some training, to properly socialize him and to learn ways of handling him.

G'luck

Well the best toys are probaly balls, chewy toys, bones etc.

You should try dry and wet food then mix them together. They all like some kind of food and eventually he'll need to eat.

I know how this dog feels my dog was the same exact way when we got her she was abused. We also saved her life she'd of been put to sleep 2 days later and she was just a puppy. I remember to get her out of that stage we would make sure to be calm all the time and when a noise would occur we would cuddle up with him and tell her he is ok. If the dog is afraid of you offer something to get him out of his hiding place. Eventually he will get used to you and love you with all of his heart.

Puppies, especially younger ones, like bones, because if they're still teething it gives them something they can chew without getting in trouble. If you mean beef as in meat, get him some dog food. If you mean beef flavored dog food, give the food to a friend that has a dog and try to find a flavor he likes better. Try to avoid making any loud sudden noises. He may grow out of it, but my grandma had a dog that was afraid of loud noises his whole life.

1.I would say some type of animal I like to let them pick by taking them to the pet store and what they find interesting.

2.If he is really hungry he will eat it when he notices you aren't going to give him anything else.

3.you can't really do nothing about him being scared of sudden noises he has to get over it ( he will overcome the fear)

Chew rawhide

Chicken and Rice would be a good alternative... But you need a good dog food... not just plain beef....

Patience... for the fear of noises...
