I would normally recommend 3M Command Strip Poster Mounting Strips. That's the best, but if you don't want to go to the store to buy anything then and don't want to use pins or tape then it all depends on what you have in your house.
Some white glue or a dab of silicone caulk would hold it, but it would probably mess up the wall when you tried to remove it. Contact cement and rubber cement would hold a poster. You could mix up some homemade wallpaper paste using the recipe at http://www.care2.com/greenliving/wallpaper-paste.html . Likewise, there are many homemade glue recipes on the internet.
If you don't have the ingredients for these then you'll have to go buy them and if you're going to do that then you might as well buy the 3M Command Strips.

There's this glue called Wacky Tac, it's glue, that you put on posters, but you can take it off, and it still sticks. So if you put it on a poster, stuck it to the wall, let it dry, it should still stick after you took it off. You can get it at a craft store, I love it! Good luck! :]

There is some stuff you can get at the office supply store. I forget what it's called. It's kinda like playdough. You can use it to stick things to walls, such as posters.

A glue stick? If you want something to work longterm and not damage your walls you'll have to get Poster Puddy or something like it.

Use blu-tack. It's what I use. I believe it's called Fun-tak in the US.
