First off, yes I have an alarm clock and yes I got to bed at a reasonable time every week night.
During the first week of school I woke up no problem at 6:30 every morning. That was probably because I had a lot on my mind. Now that has changed, I go to bed at the same time every night, set my alarm to 6:30, and sleep in! I used to be able to get up, shut my alarm off, then go upstairs and get ready. Now I automatically wake up, shut my alarm off with my eyes closed (not an easy task with a cell phone) and go back to sleep. It's like I have no control over when I can wake up. My eyes literally won't open and I have this overwhelming feeling of sleepyness I could pass out! So then I sleep, until 7 when my mom woke me up! That really puts a damper on my day!

First, you need to check with your doctor and see if you may be suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome or mono. Secondly, they have these great alarm clocks now that actually roll off of wherever you have them and hide until you find it and shut it off. That should be enough time to keep you up out of bed and get you going.

Here is a link for the alarm clock.

It sounds like your body needs more sleep... Try going to bed even 15 minutes earlier or lay down and take a short nap for a bit when you come home from school, maybe that will help... Try setting more than 1 alarm (1 on your phone, 1 on an alarm clock) and put them on the other side of the room so you have to actually get up out of bed to shut them off.

Put the alarm clocks at different time, 15 min interval. (6:20, 6:35...) Sleep in day time, after school. That happens, you're ok. Just you had enough sleep during summer and now you don't. Sleep a lot during weekends and you'll be better. there is also a very cruel advice to put a bowl with cold water on your way to the alarmclock... just joking. A nicer advice is to put it in another room on a metal dish with coins. it'll make a lot of sound. Have an alarm clock on TV or steroe? Advice for future: Never take sleeping pills when you need to get up early. Nothing will wake you up. at all.

Personally, when the need is great, I use 4 alarm clocks spread out around the sleeping area.
This includes one just outside of arm's reach so that I have to actually get up to deactivate it.

Try moving the alarm away from your bed, and in that situation, nothing helps more than some good ol' fashioned discipline.
