Really fun...great restaurants, bars, and shopping. Old Town is fun to walk through during the daytime as well as evenings.

Besides the great restaurant, shopping and entertainment area that's called Old Town Pasadena, there is some very enjoyable hiking in the mountains north of town if you like that kind of thing...Arroyo Seco north of Jet Propulsion Laboratory is one example. Close to downtown LA, lots of restaurants and fun things to do, hiking in the mountains nearby..got it all. UCLA home football games are played at the Rose Bowl there and of course there's the Tournament of Roses Parade. The Gold Line Metro goes out there now so there's even rapid public transit. Close to Burbank Airport (now called Bob Hope Airport). Housing costs can be pretty expensive or more realistic, depending on what part of town you live in. Did I mentioned lots of great restaurants? Oh, and multiple TRAder Joes, the true mark of civilization.

I love it, Old Town is a great place, and if you're into art you can check out both the Huntington and Norton Simon. I went to PCC and I liked it there, really laid back.
