You must have heard this on talk radio or Fox News. I assure you that it's crap. There is no actual senator filing an actual lawsuit against God. This is the kind of stuff that they like to trumpet on Fox News and then, days later when no one is paying attention, issue a teeny tiny retraction like "And all of that stuff about the God lawsuit? Um, technically, it never happened. But, you know, liberals are so evil that it COULD have happened! That's almost the same as it actually happening, right?"
So stop watching Fox News and get a life....

Are you sure it was a Senator and not some lunatic? Then again, it could be both. In any case, I doubt they will find a court that claims jurisdiction over God. Any court that would probably doesn't acknowledge the existence of God.

It was Nebraska state senator Ernie Chambers. He is basically protesting frivolous lawsuits by filing one of his own. I think it was filed in Douglas County District Court (Nebraska), but I have no further information.
Senator Chambers is a scary-smart man, and he loves to point fingers at stupidity. He also greatly enjoys pushing buttons to get a response. Obviously, it is working.
