Consider this - as a FL journalist looking for answers might do - which is what I am. The car has forensic evidence; the flat also. The forensic evidence is good (the British found it so experience tell me its good). Who had access to the car after the event, other than the accused? The Portugese police did. Who had access to the apartment after the event? The Portugese police did. Why did a similar abduction occur seven miles away a week before, and why did the police horrifically beat the woman whose child was abducted into confessing she murdered her own child? The abduction was probably carried out by an abductor known to the police, who regularly abducts for, and on behalf af of the police and other and even higher political figures. The list of missing children in Portugal has reached epic proportions. Did anyone ever tell you if something stinks its usually rotten. The Portugese police are not inefficient, on the contrary they know exactly what they are doing - and who for!

Good grief how much more of this speculation are we going to have to go threw. The woman referred to may have been beaten by the police its her ex husbands word on that one and no one has been charged yet. She was charged in 2004 with killing her child and this is the child that went missing seven miles away and it wasn't the week before it was at least 3 years ago so time scale alone would rule it out as being unimportant in this case. The fact this all came out in a very pro McCann tv program which was not fairly balanced doesn't surprise me.

The Portugeuse Police haven't said anything because of the secrecy laws. It wasn't just them who had access to that apartment so did the whole McCann party and the hotel staff etc etc....

There is an equivalent amount of missing british children are you going to say thats the fault of the British police and they are in or working with paedophile rings. Can't we all just sit back and wait for the official results and have done with it.

I expect I will be getting loads of thumbs down for this one!!

Yeah, FL journalist, you are close, I think. The Portuguese Police work for Hitler who is not really dead but with face-lift, now calls himself Murat. The Portuguese Police are not only trying to frame the McCanns but they are now in fact all Nazis.
What wasted 5 points.... two points for mois memme !!!!

And the number of missing children in Portugal has reached record high ? You are a liar, pal. I have searched websites of missing children in Europe and the only child missing in Portugal in the last 5 years is.... Maddie McCann. Are you perhaps a Portugal hater ??!!! Perhaps the THOUSANDS of kids disappearing in England were kidnapped by the Portuguese Police. How about this new theory of mine.... You're an idiot !! How's that ?!

Point taken. I have suspected all of my adult life that there are evil men and women at the top of the heap who have children abducted for their own purposes.

Something going on at the top and very little is being done to address it. We have a situation now in most of EU where there is a political elite in control and the citizens are just seen as 'serfs'. They, the serfs can be killed at will and their children abducted and/or murdered.

Some time ago, I found a website in the States which said that something like 25,000 kids a year are abducted in the US. Many end up in the sex-slave industry in Saudi Arabia. This could of course just be an anti-Arab propoganda site.

I believe that Madeleine was abducted to order by a child sex-ring.

It's all too easy to assume, without knowing the facts, that child molesters are a bunch of dirty old men wearing grubby raincoats. This simply is not the case. What we have got seems to be people at the very top with a lot of money who can do pretty much as they please and get away with it.

The Catholic Church in USA is having to pay out hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation to the victims of their Catholic priest abusers, many of whom are now thankfully in jail for a long time.

Okay, so the Catholic Church may not be in the child abduction business, but it does have a history of being in the child sex business.

A lot needs to be investigated.

You will no doubt have noticed that investigations into the Portuguese police officers who were conducting this so called investigation are now in hand. This includes a retired senior officer as well as serving officers.
I worry about the McCann's getting justice when you have a police investigation like this.

Oh dear. Do you work for the Sun or the Scottish Daily Record on a regular basis?

Judging by the amount of false information and erroneous facts you've just provided, I'm sure you must.

Both papers usually run about 30% insinuation, 30% exagerration and 40% imagination.

I was not aware of a similar abduction a few miles away. There has been so much output on the Madeleine case it is sometimes hard to sort fact from fiction. Not sure I agree with your assertion re the police and paedophiles. I just think the Portuguese police are very amateur in this sort of case. Hence asking the UK police for help.
