Answer this if you are Christian, but keep it to yourself for the most part, out of respect for other people. If someone asks, OK, answer their question. But I want to hear from 10 Christians who do not make a practice of initiating conversations about Jesus with strangers, and are proud of that fact.

Thanks for your answers so far. I would like to point out, least I offend, that I am not an Atheist. I am not hostile toward organized religion, and I am not anti-Christian. I am, however, anti-Fundamentalist, and Fundamentalism occurs in every religion. But I wanted to give the open-minded Christians an opportunity to speak out, to show that not all Christians fit the stereotype of close-minded Fundie. Open-minded Christians, I am your friend and ally. Now, go forth and take back your religion!!!

I do not proselytize, nor has my church ever required me to. I've had people from other Christian sects attempt to proselytize me and win me over to their ranks, and I find it annoying. I wouldn't want to do that to somebody else. I'll gladly discuss my beliefs with anybody who asks, but I don't believe in jamming my religion down anyone's throat.

If you are not telling people about Jesus then you should not call yourself a christian. Christian is to be Christ-like. We do what Christ did, not to mention that he commanded us to go and preach the gospel to the ends of the Earth! :o)
Matthew 9:35
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people
Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Do I need say more! :o)

I can honestly say that I have never tried to force my Christian faith on anyone else, or ever try to talk to anyone who was not interested.
I can't say I've never initiated a conversation about Jesus, though.
The most unique experience I ever had was coming from New York to Alabama on a Greyhound bus...it was wee hours of the morning, and I was humming a Christian song to myself.
Before long, a lady behind me sort of joined in, and we were both singing.
By the time the bus got to my stop, we were all singing Christian songs, talking about our faith, and laughing together...it was a wonderful experience, I'll never forget.

The best witness is often the quiet one. If you push God on someone they will almost always reject everything you say and even end up resenting you and your religion because of it. I am happy to provide any insight I can to anyone-when they ask. But I have had God pushed on me all my life and I know how that makes a person resentful. I have had this conversation sooooo many times in my life with my overbearing family. It's a miracle that I believe at all really.

I never proselytize. Never have, never will. Well, at least when it comes to religion, I've been preaching against the Designated Hitter rule for quite some time now, but no one listens. Play the game the way it was meant to be played! Pitchers should bat.

I do not have a single religious question in my profile. If a question is asked, I try to answer it to the best of my ability. And I don't just walk up to someone and start talking about Jesus or anything else in the Bible. I also have never gone door-to-door since I was a little girl and sold Girl Scout Cookies

My belief is the same as St. Francis: "Preach the Gospel at all times...and if necessary (I) use words"
Fortunately, wearing a long black dress and a stiff backwards linen collar gets A LOT of people to initiate the conversation first.

I don't believe in proselytizing to people and cramming crap down their throats, because I didn't like it when others have done it to me. Courtesy and decent behavior go a lot farther than ranting and raving and making an ******** out of oneself.

It is part of my job as a follower of Christ to initiate converstaion about Him. I NEVER push my beliefs though. If they ask me not to talk about it, I don't. If they welcome it, I take advantage.
I do most of my work by showing people what God has done for me, I don't need words most of the time.
I don't think I qualify for your list, sorry. But I'm proud of that fact.
