Prove to me you're out there. I need to hear from 10 of you, who identify as Christian, but think it's OK to be gay.

Wow! What hostility! Gosh, looks like Homosexuality is a bigger sin than Evolution! I had a much more civil response to that question! Seriously, though, this isn't meant to be anti-Christian. I am merely looking for Christians who are willing to disprove the stereotypes. Whenever I see someone making generalizations about Christians here, I stick up for your faith. Prove me right.

sure it's ok to be gay. it's just as ok as to charge interest on a loan. and it's ok to eat pork. and wear polyester. and to use contraceptives. some of us christians aren't as uptight as the rest. God i'm sure can accomodate our little deviances. after all He was the one who made all the deviances possible by creating us imperfect beings. no one is perfect after all.

Thanks ahead of time for all of Your thumbs down. It is a contrdiction in Creation and was never meeant to be. we are all sinners and the result of sin is separation from God. Check out Daniel 11:37-38, Romans 1..Jesus did not have to say anything since He and the Father are United and are One! Genesis1:26-28, Leviticus 18:22, Genesis 18:20-21, Genesis 19:4-5..It's the same as adultery and foirnication and the result is in Revelation Chapter 22 for All Sinners. What does 1st Corinthians 6:9 - 20 mean?

I consider myself Christian, but not as a religion, but as believes... I don't think that a person who is homosexual is committing sin, they are just persons with different tastes, considering that a homosexual is a sinner just because they are gay, it's being racist, and God doesn't like that.
Besides, I know many homosexuals, how are more kind and do more good to the world (because they do is with their hearts), than many straights...
So if you are looking for ten Christians you have one less to look for

Since it seems clear that people who are gay are born that way, it would be a slap in the face of God to suggest that it is somehow sinful. It would seem akin to suggesting that being born deaf is a sin. Discriminating against other people goes against the teachings of Christ.

Romans 1: 26-7, Exodus 20 etc etc....you cant just ignore parts of the Bible. So sorry but yes, it is a sin.

In my denomination, you won't just find ten people, but thousands of us who accept gays. To me, discriminating against others (including the gay community) is no way for a follower of Christ's teachings to behave.

Sorry, but it IS a sin, just like adultery, gossip, lying, murder, stealing, etc. Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." (NIV).We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Well you dont need to go on yahoo go look at churches they have a rainbow flag in there window like ours does it means gays are welcome and it is not a sin. Provided that two people love one another and are faithfull to each other.
SO that would be about 200 in my town a few more in the town next to us make that 1000
There are many many christian churches that love God and love his children And the way he makes them.
