1. attempt to make law conform to their beliefs
2. condemn and often harass homosexuals due to their beliefs
3. endorsed many persecutions, including witch trials, the aforementioned Crusades, slavery (which may not be considered persecution).
4. justify violence and war
5. Indoctrinate children when they are too young to think critically about it
6. assume that they are correct, the one true faith, without any valid argument for why they assume it to be the case, and often insult other religions under that assumption
7. assume God to be human in shape, to be loving, and perfect, despite the fact that he is wrathful, destructive, and, with the construct of hell, very vindicative.
8. God itself is merely the human psyche stretched to conceivable limits of infinity in every aspect, and presumed to have created the universe, though he himself is exempt from the necessity of being created
9. Assume that Satan is the cause for everything wrong in the world, despite the fact that Satan, as a fallen angel punished by God, should not have such a powerful influence if God himself is capable of intervening on Earth.

1. they divide God in 3 parts: Jesus, Mary and God which i don't like.
Untrue: God, Jesus, Holy Ghost
2. they blocked progress for so many years
True: Are we now?
3. they were against the theory of evolution
Untrue: not all are, I believe in evolution and God, I don't believe in the Big Bang.
4. they spreaded Christianity with violence during the Crusades in the past
True: We don't now...doesn't that matter
5. they are starting to ask for money in the church
Untrue: They always have asked for money, but (in my church at least) they NEVER force it. It is all voluntary.
6. they preach poverty for the people, but the church makes alot of money
Untrue: My church is thousands of dollars in debt, my church ALWAYs spends it on what they say they will spend it on.
Not all Christians are what many assume, many are great people, intellectual, kind, giving, and truly follow the word of God.

I'm sorry, but you've been misled if these are your reason for not being a christian.
1. there is only 1 God
2. blocked progress?
3. Not necessarily
4. Violence is not what christianity is about.
5. Yes, to build the body of Christ
6. not to make more money for the church (altho I'm not saying that there aren't churches out there that do, it's not what they are supposed to do w/ the money)
Christianity is about obedience; humility; community; love, trust and faith in God. I pray that all Jesus' followers would remember this.

1.divide God in 3 parts: Jesus, God and MARY??? don't recall Mary being considered God.
2.don't know about progress being blocked because of Christianity or just because of the people (you'll have to be more precise)
3.the theory of evolution is not a fact, there were so many absurd things that were believed (ie humans r from monkeys) but were refuted, its just a matter of time for what is presently believed to be disproved.
4.Christianity is about following Christ, Christ was against violence, therefor those who are/were pro violence are not true Christians
5. Not in all churches they ask for your money, if you want to give, you give, if not, you are not obliged...my former church will use the money for clothes, food etc. to give the homeless and needy every 1st Monday of every month. (and the money was not forced but voluntary)
6. The church I recently mentioned had few members and not all will give alot of money, so it wasn't much of a wealthy church and yet they did all they could to help people.

Anti-intellectualism
The absurd concept of Faith
Christianity reduces people's ability to have compassion by giving an artificial solution to suffering.

Do you realize you are allowing what other MEN (with all their faults and shortcomings) to determine your salvation? I follow God DESPITE the fallen state of MEN. Stop looking at the surface and look at the root.
God said He would allow the wicked and righteous to dwell together till He comes...so you are letting the works of the wicked turn you away from a Righteous God.
sad...

God...the answers from these christian people...so dam illogical....i hate it...
like that chick whose reasons to be a christian were "God loves you, Jesus loves you, God wants you, the bible says you should" lmao wtf? (Um WHERE THE PROOF IN THAT) God nor jesus said those things to me, a man in a suit and a donation trey told me. and then he told me about hell, and the 1 way I wouldn't spend eternity there....and then I grew the hell up and realized it was all BULL SHIIIIIIT. And as you learn history, you learn from its mistakes.
Don't people wanna know the truth about their reality and what/who they are?
If you doubt evolution...thats a great step in the wrong direction.
