How much time are they spending by themselves already? If they're cool without you around for most of the day, they can probably handle the separation better than you can. (If you're used to "sharing" a bed, not having that furry little beast near you can be difficult!)
Do you have someone, a friend or relative, who can drop by on the third or fourth day just to check on food and water levels? It would be great if it were someone the cats already know and trust.
Once I had someone checking on them mid-week, I would get extra litter boxes and make sure they had enough food. Hide some treats in new places for them to find. Two cats who get along well together will be entertain themselves quite well. Just make sure that cords and things are out of their reach so they don't get hurt while they're alone. Make sure a neighbor you trust knows the cats are there unattended in case there's an emergency.
When you get home, you'll either be welcomed with open paws or ignored for about a day.

6 days is a very long time to leave them in case something goes wrong. Cats are greedy and will probably eat most of the food you leave very quickly and as a result be sick. Also you can't leave them for 6 days without cleaning the litter tray. There must be a neighbour or someone you know who can check on them, change the litter and top up their food. Don't ask us for help, ask people you know !!

To be honest, six days is too long to leave your cats unattended. What if they get into something that could hurt them? or they tip over their water, and they can't drink while you are gone? Or they simply run out of food? Plus, the litterbox would practically be solid with waste by the time you got back. It is best to have someone you trust come in and check on them everyday, clean up the litterbox, feed them, water them, and make sure they are all okay.
Good luck!

The other posters are right. Six days is too long for them to go without human companionship. They will also go through their food way too fast, foul their litter boxes, and otherwise be unhappy and unhealthy. If you can't find someone trustworthy to take care of them while you're gone, you can't go. I have a houseful of cats and we haven't done more than an overnight trip in six years. It's part of the responsibility you assume when you bring cats into your life.

Do not leave them by themselves! What are you planning on doing, leaving a bunch of food down and assume they'll ration it out for 6 days? What if something happens to them while you're gone for heaven's sake?!
Get a neighbour/friend to pop in on them at least once a day. If you can't, you'll have to put them in a cattery while you're away. Leaving them alone for 6 days would be gross neglect.

1 Fill up all your food containers and your water container right before you leave.
2 Leave out a extra litter box. Plus make sure the litter is completely clean and fresh in all the litter boxes you own. (before you leave!)
3 Have a trustworthy neibor or family member to come over and check on the cats. (play with them, feed them, give them water, and if they will ask them to change the litter.)

6 days is a little too long...You can kennel them, but that gets expensive. Or just get a friend or someone in your family to come over once a day to feed them and hang out with them a little bit (they'll still need attention). And if that doesn't work, get a kid on your block to do it and pay him...but they shouldn't be left alone for 6 days...

Leave more than enough food and water for your babies but also have someone come by every nite so the can have "human " companionship--make it someone they know and are comfortable with
