There is no one "right answer" for an egg drop challenge, which makes it fun and fair.

The challenge is to find a way to protect the egg. Often the test is a specific height drop. Having the lightest weight is also another test.

If you will have to create your protection on the day of the event, gather some of the materials and practice. The cool thing about this challenge is that you can try some things out beforehand.

For example, are the straws strong enough to form a protective cage around the egg? (I would guess not, but worth seeing!)

How on earth to use the toothpicks? They might be a gentle shock absorber for the egg if you can figure out how to hold them in place.

this is a classic engineering assignment - USE YOUR OWN IMAGINATION AND ENGINEERING KNOWLEDGE to keep your egg intact. stop cheating. Who knows but that you could make a genuine breakthrough that would save lives and make yourself a fortune.
