(J/K)
I loved my crock pot, I have recently relocated, started over. (for the good), and I do not have a big one, just a small one not worth trying to cook in LOL. Anyway I loved it for thse winter days cold dark, come home supper is welcomig you in. The smell just warms you up. My bread maker sat on other counter and the two, were like having a dog wagging its tial to say hey I have been waiitng for you.
Favorites, cheap ans easy.
Pot roast woth onion soup mix, crm of mushroom soup, potatoes, carrots, and pearl onion.
Baked beans and hot dogs at end.
Beef stew, chicken stew, add dumplings at end before serving.
pork chops with apples and raisns
Boiled doinner, ( I use ham steaks sometimes)
The crock pot can make any ole tough of meet savory.

As a child I remeber receiving "dropped" chickens from a chicken farm. We would kill and clean the chicken oursleves. They were so old and muscular form running. Just baking them were no good. My mom woudl put them in crock pot and stew in onions celery and she would add potaotes and carrots, any othe rveggies turnips. They jsut melted in your mouth after that.
Spaghettiesauce, even the cheap canned ones taste good with your own add in and meats simmering all day. They will swaer this chick form county Maine was italian LOL.
I think I better start saving my pennies now, wanna feel that home cooking feeling again lol.

My favorite crock pot meal is turkey chili: ingredients are:

1lb turkey hamburger browned

2 cans red and lite red kidney beans drained

1 small onion chopped fine

1 packet chili mix mild or hot or whatever u prefer

1 green pepper chopped fine

1 can of chili beans

1 lg can of v-8 cocktail sauce

1 small can of diced tomatoes

directions:

mix all the ingredients together in the crockpot except the v-8 cocktail juice, when it is all mixed together add the v-8 and cook on high 4 hours or on low 8 hours... serve and enjoy... no one will know u used turkey instead of hamburger i promise... if u like things more hot add chili powder to the turkey as u cook it...

Our easiest one is corned beef brisket. Put brisket with the seasoning in the crockpot. Add celery tops (always in the crisper), a quartered onion, a snack pack of baby carrots from the freezer, and 2 quartered potatoes. Add about 6 cups of water and a beer and a few bay leaves. Prep only takes maybe 10 minutes!

Here's one of the easiest we have:

Pineapple Cranberry Pork Roast

3 lb boneless pork loin roast
2 tsp seasoned salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, undrained
1 (8 oz) bag dried cranberries

Rub the pork roast on all sides with salt and pepper, and place in a slow cooker.
Pour in the pineapple chunks and juice, and sprinkle in the cranberries.
Cover and cook 7 hours on Low.
Be sure to let the meat rest before slicing.

I like to serve this with rice.

We disagree on this...boys against girls. LOL

Here's my husband and son's favorite:

Hash Brown Dinner

1 to 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef (browned and drained)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 envelope brown gravy (undiluted)
1 can (16oz) cream style corn
1-1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 package (16oz) frozen hash browns (slightly thawed)
1 can cream of celery, mushroom, or chicken soup
1/2 cup evaporated milk
salt and pepper to taste

Place the browned ground beef and onion in your crock pot and toss with the powdered gravy mix. Pour the cream corn over the ground beef mixture, then add half of the cheese. Top with the hash browns and the remaining cheese. Mix the can of cream soup with the evaporated milk and pour it evenly over the hash browns. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. (Or on high for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours.)

This on is my daughter's and my favorite:

French Onion Beef

1-1/4 lb. boneless beef round steak (1/2 to 3/4-inch thick)
1 (8 oz.) pkg sliced fresh mushrooms (about 3 cups)
1 large onion, sliced, separated into rings
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed French onion soup
1 (6 oz.) pkg. 10 minute herb stuffing mix (or a 6 1/4 oz. pkg. 15-minute herb stuffing mix, whichever is available)
1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Cut the beef into 6 serving sized pieces. Layer half each of beef, mushrooms and onion in a 3 1/2 to 4 quart crock pot, the repeat the layers. Pour the soup over ingredients in the crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours, or until beef is tender and no longer pink.

Before serving, in a medium bowl combine the stuffing mix, and it's seasoning packet, the melted margarine and 1/2 cup of liquid from the crock pot then toss to mix. Place the stuffing on top of contents in the crock pot. Increase the heat to high. Cover and cook an additional 10 minutes or until the stuffing is fluffy. Sprinkle it with the cheese. Cover and cook until cheese is melted.
