Torn between 2 TV's and dont know which to choose. The Toshiba 26HLV66 26" w/DVD..... or the Sharp Aquos LC-26SH10U... I dont know jack about TV's. But they are a lot of money so I want to be sure to make the right choice. Can someone please look up the specs and let me know what choice I should make...... Thanks.

Don't get any kind of TV with something else built in besides a tuner. Most likely the VCR, DVD, DVR or whatever, will break before the TV and ruin the entire system.
Sharp Aquos is a great TV, but at 26" I don't think you need 1080p unless you are going to be really close to the TV. Like within 5 feet.

I just bought a 32" Toshiba Regza after considering the Sharp and I'm not dissappointed. Both have excellent reviews. You can get good reviews from Amazon.com (where I bought mine). I agree, don't get the built-ins - just one more thing that can go wrong and ruin your system. For me the choice came down to price and it wasn't that much difference. I don't think you'll be dissappointed with either. But I would recommend the jump to a 32". And you can settle for 720 vs. 1080 unless you're watching HD or have Blue Ray disc player. Enjoy !

the sharp is darn expensive on amazon.
the vizio tv is a good off brand
or if you want to spend more get a samsung

the 32" are inexpensive now, why get 26"?

both of the ones you mentioned have low brightness and contrast ratio.
instead of 800:1 you can get 2000:1 contrast
looks better IMO

I actually prefer the Sony Bravia, but all these sets look good.
