Transferring car title loans?

I just paid my car off, which was under my parents names. Now, they want to transfer the title to my name. What do we need to do? Do we both need to be in attendance at the DMV?

They may be able to sign the title over in front of a notary. Then you go to DMV and file for a new title in your name. Many States allow the transfer between immediate family without charging taxes.

It depends on the state, on how old the car is, and how much it is worth.
