I have been talking to someone for about a month (i know not long at all) but I like him a lot, I take guitar lessons at his job so him and i were flirting for a while before we just spent time alone. I dont know he makes it seem like he likes me a lot and wants to be with me, but he says he is dealing with a lot of personal stuff and cant commit to anyone..especially because he cant trust in a woman either. Blah blah. i dont know- i am fine with that answer- i just dont know if i want to keep him as a friend (and deal with hiding emotions) or just go my seperate way.

Honestly love, a man saying he doesn't want a relationship is normally a man's way of saying that he wants the sex, but not much more. And I know because I've personally used it plenty of times. You've already shown him for the most part how interested in him you are, and he knows it, so now he holds all the cards. I say keep him as a friend if you like him, but explore your other dating options. And for God sake, please don't give it up to him. You'll really put him in control then, because he told you from the beginning that he didn't want a relationship. And you sound sort of young anyway, so odds are you'll catch feelings and then he'll really ignore you then.

id keep him as a friend if YOU think you can move on easily and not have to hide your feelings for him longer than a month. if you feel like you will still like him more than just a friend after about a month of JUST friendship with him id say stop talking to him unless its just a friendly hello that way you wont hurt your future self.
good luck

I think that deep inside, if a man really likes a woman, then he would be willing to take the risk.

Maybe he likes you but is afraid of whether or not he likes you enough to be in a romanitc relationship with you.

You can't help who your heart reaches out to but you can try to protect yourself. If he's saying now is not a good time let him be give him time maybe he'll come around. Patience my dear.

You cant change people so if you want to persue him understand he has his guard up. Just be friends and let him know you might be interested when he wants to commit.
