Hi everyone!

I was born and bred in London, and want to try the NY lifestyle! I am thinking of moving there for 2/3 months to see how it is.

What sort of budget does one need to live in a nice area/comfortably? I would like to be in the centre, in a nice area.

By the way! I am 20, on my gap year...etc.etc...you get the drift...

Any suggestions...or new yorkers with advice?

Usually you sign a year lease. In the nice areas of Manhattan expect to pay $2500 a month rent for a one bedroom apartment. There are, however, nice neighborhoods in Brooklyn like Gravesend and Ocean Parkway.

What approximately protection rigidity families that are shipped everywhere in the planet? and that they are no longer "action picture star millionaires": some protection rigidity families circulate each 3-4 years. the little ones don't have a "homeland" nor have they have been given a "actual classification from which to graduate". They get their "roots yanked up each 3-4 years" and have truthfully NO say interior the subject whatsoever. My dad replaced right into a intense score naval officer, and we did no longer circulate yet as quickly as through his "enjoying the better ups". although, I observed young little ones that have been shuffled throughout this planet, and adapted. while looking back, now I see WHY my mothers and fathers discouraged us from forming "friendships" with different protection rigidity family members young little ones. they had be leaving as quickly as to procure to truly 'understand them'. And "honest"? existence isn't honest, purely go searching the mess that the international is in presently........
