I am using the company called Upack. So we load the truck they drive it. you pack it as snuggly as possible to prevent shifting during transit. I would guess all the same sixe boxes would allow for a very tight uniform fit in the truck!

Find boxes about 14x14x14 or 16x16x16. When moving day comes, you will appreciate the smaller boxes.

Rent a cart or dolly and anything else that takes the strain off your back.

Go to any moving company and they'll sell you boxes. Or, ask a friend. I'm in the middle of packing to move and all my boxes came from a friend who moved last month. I also got some from supplies that were delivered to us at work recently.

As for size, it totally depends on how you're getting the boxes out. Are you hiring movers? Are you driving out yourself? Mailing stuff? I don't know why someone would suggest all the boxes be the same size until you're hiring movers. If you aren't, it doesn't matter what size the boxes are.

"Regular" moving boxes are about 2' x 2' x 2' square or a bit smaller. I wouldn't go any bigger than that, and these are the size they'll most likely give you at a moving company.

The cheapest boxes can been picked up at liquor stores and super markets for free. Call the super market ahead of time and have them set aside a bunch of boxes, otherwise they'll be broken down and fed into the compactor. The liquor store boxes are good for books and other heavy items.
I would say the best size would be liquor store size for books and the biggest boxes for linens and clothing. U-haul sells wardrobe boxes with a bar that goes across the top, so you can pull your clothes out of the closet on their hangars and hang them in the box. Then you reverse the process when you get to you destination.

Go to a local U-haul place and get the Medium sized boxes. Any larger and they are too heavy to handle when full. Medium is just right and fits most items. We just moved too. I hated it! Good luck!

Liquor store boxes are great - nice and sturdy, but small. Your best bet is egg boxes from the grocery store - they are usually good-sized, sturdy, and all of the ones that I have ever gotten have handles on the ends, which makes it so much easier.

You need to pack your belongings in the "proper" moving boxes, which will vary by size and weight, as well as purpose. You can get all the specifics at the website below.
