i do not know but that is their customs and their land so it is not my business.what i will say is this if people do not like the law of their land they must change it themselves,it is no other countries business to do so.it is not their business to try and change our laws in our country either.if i were in their country i would obey their laws whether i agreed with it or not.i expect the same in my own country that no special exceptions are granted foreigners either in my land.

Most of them are just reprimanded and some issued tickets (they have to attend a moral reorientaion seminar, I believe). I never heard anyone thrown into prisons.

But honestly why would we care about Iran's internal affairs? It is their business to impose whatever form of morality they think suits them, it is not for us to tell them what is good for them and what is not. Should we also then impose our way of thinking with the Amish or Menonites or Mormons of USA and tell them how they should dress?

I think most of us are going beyond the line of accepted criticism and sometimes we can't differentiate anymore rational criticism with islamophobia and islam-bashing. We need sometime to pause and ask ourselves, "Are our concerns personal or driven by the false fear of Islam aggravated by the islamophobics in the media who are demonizing Muslims and Islam day and night?"
