I bought a dress last year for homecoming and a couple people suggested I wear it to a wedding next month. I am just a little concerned that it is to flashy and not wedding appropriate. I will be going with my friend and do not know anything about the wedding other than the date.

I could not find a picture of my dress but this one is similar http://www.amazon.com/TRIXXI-Glitter-Halter-Dress-Medium/dp/B000VM776M/ref=sr_1_25/102-0018424-4667367?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1190008443&sr=1-25.

The only big differences are mine has regular straps of about an inch in width instead of being a halter. Also my dress is teal.

Would this be appropriate or should I consider something else? Thanks in advance!!!

The dress is glittery like the one in the picture. The hem of the dress comes to my knee.

It's too short and too sexy fr a wedding. Plunging necklines are a big no-no in a wedding, leave alone a church.

Please reconsider. A more modest and classic dress would be more appropiate.

Good luck

I think it is a tad on the flashy side for a wedding. I don't think that their is a problem having a glittery dress or teal for that matter but the style is just a bit short for a wedding. I would look for something a little bit longer than that dress. The plunging neckline looked fine. You just don't want it to plunge down to your belly button!

I don't know; this is borderline prom-ish.

If there is a question, you should always err on the side of conservative! It is better to be under-dressed than over-dressed when it comes to things like bare shoulders and glitter fabric.

If you knew there would be other women there dressed similarly, then it would be okay. But since you don't, I probably would look for something else.

I think this one is going to depend on the time of day the wedding is.
If it is an evening wedding then the dress is fine, However, I think I might put a little white shrug over the top of it. Other than that, nice, and I hope you have fun..

If your dress is glittery than I'd try to find something else to wear. If it's not glittery, then heck ya, that dress is beautiful and a wedding is a perfect occasion to wear it too.

present enjoying cards are super presents. I have been given some as quickly as I have been given married and that i became into only as happy as though I had gained an definitely modern. Plus, that's alot less demanding to get a modern card for somebody you don't be attentive to o.k..

I seems that the dress would be ideal for a wedding. I would add a throw to it just in case. My white or off white, just to have something to throw over your shoulders.

Way too flashy. I haven't been to very many weddings, but I can't imagine wearing sequins to a wedding.

I think it's a little flashy for a wedding especially since you do not know the wedding couple and their style. Better to choose something dressy but less disco night.

Personally, I would not wear that to a wedding, for the very reason you have given in your post. It's doable for an evening, cocktail wedding, but I might try to do with something a bit more conservative.
