If you can't easily straighten the lens, you will need to have it repaired. You want to seriously compare the cost of getting your camera repaired and the cost of a new camera. You might be better off getting a new camera.

Camera repair is NOT a "do it yourself" project unless you've been trained in camera repair. Look through your Owner's Manual and somewhere in it you will see a lightning bolt icon beside the word "WARNING!! Do not attept to repair camera yourself. Severe electrical shock may result." You see, inside the camera is a little device called a capacitor. It stores 1,000's of volts of electricity to fire the flash.

Your camera is now a paperweight.

The warranty will not cover abuse such as dropping it, getting it wet or getting dirt or sand in it. Any repairs will be at your expense. Its likely that repairs will exceed the cost of a new camera. You may a swell start shopping while you wait for the estimate.

When you get your new camera, get a nice comfortable neck strap with it. Your camera should be hanging around your neck when not in your camera bag. You might consider visiting cameraarmor.com and bonicadive.com to see if they offer a protective covering for your new camera.

Good Luck and Happy Shopping! :)

it needs to be repaird

however in most cases it's better to get a brand new camera due to the cost to have the camera fixed would be the same or more than what the camera is actually worth.
