We have 4 months to make our credit look decent or we won't be able to get an apartment to live in and we will be on the streets... We need to either make it vanish (the bad credit) OR we need to be able to pay it all off in 4 months somehow, so we are looking for anyone who would know how this can be done. Is there any way to put it all on ONE bill and slowly pay it off? We need HELP.

If the bad credit is in collections etc even paying it off will not substantially improve your credit score as it will remain there for 7 years from the date of the last transaction. If they are with collection agency's you can get it in writing that upon payment of the debt they will remove it from you file. Realistically you are looking at a couple of years to improve it dependent upon how bad it is

Figure out ways to increase income and decrease expenses. Make a very strict budget. Everything that isn't essential must go -- cell phone, cable, internet, eating out, etc. Look at every single bill and figure out how to cut it. Landline phone -- cut all the extra fee services like call waiting.

Take every penny you can squeeze out of that budget and concentrate on one debt, while paying minimum on the rest. Normally I would say concentrate on the highest interest but if you want to clear up as many as possible within 4 months, go for the smallest amount first.

Find other ways to make money. Have a garage sale, collect alum cans, sell blood/plasma, get second job -- pizza delivery has flexible hours. And throw all that money at your debt.

You won't be able to pay off 5K of debt in such a short period but if you really work hard, you should clear more than half.

Shifting your debt to another loan just digs you in even deeper.

You might be able to get a bill consolidation loan, or if your credit problem is too extreme for that to be a solution, you could go to credit counseling. Only go to a legitimate credit counseling service, and don't let yourself get caught up in scams which promise to "repair" your credit. They will only get you in worse trouble, and you even run the risk of having your SSN identified on your credit file as associated with fraudulent activity. That is a far worse kiss of death than simply bad credit history.

As far as making it vanish, you might check out www.aperfectsolution.us
They offer a 90-day credit repair program; they do all the work....it costs just $125 if you mention promo code TDS. They usually get like a 60 point bump or so. My mother used it then got a new automobile. Good luck.
