Will usually think about what had I done today and make a conclusion of it as to self-criticize myself of what should have been done better or what mistakes should have avoided. Or mostly to think about what to do for next day. But mostly it's for the review of the day's most precious memories. So it usually takes me longer to eventually fall asleep.

I usually lie in bed trying to sleep when im excited about something that has happened or is happening the next day, like christmas or having a cool conversation with someone i like. I try to blank my mind and not think of anything when im trying to sleep.

Everything both positive and negative. I tend to migrate to the negative. I think about the day and what I did wrong. I think about my loved ones dying. I think about something that happened 5, 10, 15 years ago even if it wasn't a significant event. Sometimes I get a positive surge of thoughts about what I am going to do tomorrow or what I am going to do to change my life. I could go on and on and still only scratch the surface. My mind bounces from one thought to another and another until I can't stand to lay there anymore and get back up.

Usually I think about building my dream house, a 24 room, one story mansion with a courtyard in the middle, in the middle of 50 acres of wooded land. Its only going to happen if I win the lottery, but it helps me to fall asleep contented.

I actually play the game Scattergories when I am trying to sleep. I pick a category....like, fruits, and then I go through the alphabet...apple, banana, clementine....and so on.
