I asked a question yesterday requesting contacts who are conservative and Christian. I didn't mean to imply that I don't love everyone, and that I don't want to communicate with people who are not Christian and conservative. I would just like to have contacts with whom I can ask prayer and to pray for. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

Wanting to form friendships with like-minded people makes me smug, superior, and a person who watches tv evangelists????

Mel, I stated that I do love everyone.

I don't think too many people will be concerned about it. After all, there are questions on here all the time for "Christians only", "Muslims only", "atheists only", and so on. In this case, you were probably just looking for some like-minded people. No harm done.

You would be far better off to not worry about what people on an internet board think of you. You are not likely to have any kind of meaningful relationship with them. I am conservative christian if that helps. As to whether or not they forgive you, I do not think that asking for christian contacts violates anyone. Anyone who says it does has personal problems that are theirs and not yours. I do not think forgiveness need be sought.

If you said something that truly was offensive (calling names etc) then yes seek forgiveness. Otherwise, learn to be comfortable with being disliked by non christians. It will happen.

In this particular forum, you'll have to do that by email. There isn't any way to not post questions to everyone or to only receive answers from certain people.

Remember, this is a wide-open public forum. You may want to look for a conservative Christian forum instead if that's what you want out of it.

That really depends on who they are, and what they're sorry for. Some things aren't going to be "fixed" by saying those words... And some people find it's just too easy to say that without meaning it, and then think they can keep repeating the same mistake.

I didn't see your original request so I have nothing to forgive of you. People who are "Christian and Conservative", normally only want communication with others caught up in the High and Holy circus, and carnival. Your ringleader is a televangelist "healing" people on the carnival stage.

Sorry about the first answerer.

I actually don't know a lot of Conservative Christians on here... I'm an agnostic theistic witch myself... but good luck and don't take anything said here to heart.

Cheers!

That's OK, just go home and make yourself a large heaping superiority sandwich with a side order of smug sauce and call me in the morning.

I think it a little to late to ask for forgiveness. The damage is done. You have wounded me to the psychic bone and I may never be whole again.

Of course. No sense wasting prayers on those nonconservatives.
