Good question. Well, i will tell my experience in that . When u know or expect the way with which God will talk to u , God will not use that way. He usually talks to us in different ,unexpected ways. But u must hear His voice while u regularly read the Bible.
Once i was in a taxi. I was talking to God. My eyes fell on a window of a shop, on which was written a verse from the Bible. He answeres me in an unexpected way.
Good luck!!

A lot of people think allah and God are the same, but they are not. Thats a different question though. As a Christian I hear God speak to me in a still silent voice as I pray to my savior Jesus Christ. I also hear God through His Holy Word (Bible). God can also speak to us through others such as preachers or other Christians. If God would choose He could speak to us any way He desires, because He is the Eternal God and man is not.

George Bush made the claim of speaking to God, and of God "telling" him to invade Iraq. This is the attribution of evil to God, which is blasphemy of the Holy Ghost. In any event, God speaks to no one in this way. He may give you signs and lead you in the right direction, maybe even every day, but there is no voice of God that people hear. They can hear the voice of Christ, who is also God, as evidenced in the Gospels.

I love how the Christians are getting on here and saying that Allah is man made, seriously wake up and smell the coffee.

I'm Muslim and I believe that is something in the heart. If I started hearing audible voices...I'd either find a doc or poke them with q-tips

It is usually some preacher or "holy man" telling them what to believe and speaking as if he was god. If they hear a literal voice, they are seriously dilusional or in need of therapy.

God speaks to everyone differently. Through the bible through your spirit. Sometimes that gut feeling is God.

That's all a matter of opinion.
I believe that they are speaking of a feeling in their hearts and spirits and of praying.

I don't know if people have heard God out loud since the Bible times, but it's possible. You can definitely hear Him in your heart.
