Like from the Social Security Administration? I have already changed my name and got a new SS card. Did I need to do anything else or am I okay?

That's all - just change your name with social security. Then when you file, you'll use your new name.

Make sure to tell your employer that your name changed. Your paychecks should be made payable to your new name, exactly as it is written on your new social security card. In January, you should make sure that your W-2 also has your new name on it, also exactly as it is written on your new social security card.

You should be perfectly ok. Just remember to put your new name down on your 2007 tax return, and it should match exactly how it is on your new SS card.
