It depends on your font, the quality of your eyesight, and the subject matter you have running through the back of your mind while you are staring at the computer screen.

LOL... once, when I was a camp counsellor, someone made a sign for Old Camp Movies Night that read "FREE FLICKS AFTER DINNER!"
Thank God she tried it on us counsellors before showing all the kids.
We all just stood there staring and blinking at her like they did at Cartman after the aliens made him do that little dance...

yes.
for decades, comic books didn't/weren't allowed to use the words "flick" of "flicker" for the same reason - especially since ink blurred easily on cheaper paper of the time.

There's a comic book store in town called "CLINT'S BOOKS." They have a marquee with raised lettering out front. When you drive by at a certain angle, you tend to do a double-take.
