I was partying last night and I screamed a bit too much I think. My throat is sore and I keep swallowing, my friend had a bad cold a few days ago - what can I do right now to make it easier?

soothe it with some lemon juice mixed with HONEY.
take some Licorice herb.
soothe it with a warm compress.
gargle with warm or hot as you can tolerate salted water.

Oh man, I hate having a sore throat!
Garling either salt dissolved in warm water or listerine should reduce the time it is sore for (as it kills bacteria in the throat). Or else try a honey and lemon drink- hot water, lots of honey and some lemon to help soothe your throat.
Otherwise, off the shelf lozenges, ie strepsils also work well! Try and get the ones that are anti bacterial so that your sore throat goes away as soon as possible. Good Luck! :-)

A sore throat is maximum unsightly. looking on how long you have had it - i could be searching for scientific suggestion - because of the fact the countless different's have suggested - it must be a strep throat or perhaps tonsilitis - which will choose antibiotics to get rid of it. chilly fluid and ingredient's like jelly, icecream and ice-blocks are the main soothing. heat water and salt used as a gargle is a sturdy cleansing agent. do no longer waste funds on the throat spray's from the chemist - as they in no way paintings!! sturdy luck with it and that i desire you sense greater useful actual quickly!! =^:^=

Hot tea is the best cure I have found. A little honey in it works too. I used to sing lead for a band and next mornings were terrible the only sure fire i found was scalding hot tea w/honey.

hot tea or hot chocolate.
standing in the shower, breathing in the steam helps some.
and you can try going back and forth ( like hot tea, the cold ginger ale)
it was probably the screaming. It happens to lots of people after football games.
it is important to NOT try to talk for a day or so. whispering will make it worse. sorry.
oh, you might as well try aspirin - it couldn't hurt.

Hot chamomile tea. That always seems to do the trick with me. Try to talk as least often as possible. Giving your throat a rest will also help.

You can gargle with a concoction made with brown sugar and water. It does help, believe me, I know. Alternatively,You may have trouble with your tonsils, you should really go and see a doctor. If your throat is infected, you will need antibiotics.Seeing your friend had a bad cold, you may also have caught that. Go and see a doctor, that is really your best bet.

throat drops, lots of rest (meaning don't use your voice) and warm liquids. if it doesn't get better in a few days or if you develop a high fever, consult your doctor. it may be strep or something else.
