I think you are just baiting people with a breeding question.
If that isn't the case, you shouldn't be asking for breeding help here anyway.

First off, dogs do not have sex, they mate or breed. Second, have you by any chance looked in the paper and seen how many Chihuahuas there are out there already???? Go http://www.recycler.com and do a search for them. You will find hundreds of ads from people who wanted more puppies. If you are going to breed it should be for the right reasons ; one being that the dog is an exceptional example of it's breed. You should also have some clue as to what you are doing. Some breeds, especially small breeds have trouble with whelping pups. Are you prepared financially if the dog needs a c-section???? If the mom dies are you experienced enough to hand raise the pups?
I happen to be a dog breeder, but I educated myself first and I breed a rare breed that I thoroughly researched first. You won't find hundreds of ads for my breed. It's not that I don't like chihuahuas - I do, but they are extremely overbred and there are far too many needing homes. I recently adopted a beautiful pup from a breeder who couldn't place him for that very reason. She just gave he and his litter mates away and is now spaying and neutering her dogs. Please don't add to an already too large population.

First time dealing with this.. You should have maybe done some research before hand.
From not knowing when they would be ready to breed, to leaving them unattended when they might breed, risking one or both of them getting hurt.. You aren't off to a good start.
Why not take your dog home, and do more research into this whole thing.. Save your money for the c-section, and the raising of puppies, vaccinations, worming and everything else.. learn more about Chihuahuas and you can rethink this whole thing.

Did you just have them breed so you can have puppies? I hate to put it this way, but that's incredibly selfish. Chihuahuas can have incredible difficulty whelping. I suggest doing your research now. If you leave them unsupervised, who's to say that a dog didn't come in off the street and impregnate your sister's Chi - such large puppies could kill her. Please, if you want puppies, adopt some from a rescue! The world doesn't need any more irresponsibly bred dogs.

Why are you wanting to breed your dog? Is she an exceptional specimen
of her breed, conforming closely to the breed standard? Has she any hard to
find virtues that would be a critical addition to the breed? Has she been
tested for genetic problems that can be passed on from the parents and does
she have an exceptional temperament? Has she been shown, and at least is on
her way to being a champion, if not already one?
If you want to bred and do it ethically, you must be committed to
learning all about your breed..its standard, its genetic diseases, the good,
the bad and the ugly. You must understand that your female could die. You
might have nothing but dead puppy bodies whether she lives or not. You might
have to pay for an emergency c-section to save her and/or the pups. If you
lose her, you are responsible for all the feeding of the pups, which will
require you to feed them every 1.5 to 2 hours. ALL hours, not just the
daylight ones. The puppies will poop 24/7, and this becomes your
responsibility to clean whether the mother survives to raise them or not.
The pups still need to be vet checked, vaccinated and dewormed no matter
what. When they reach certain stages of their lives, they need proper
socialization and guidance. They will be your responsibility at least for 8
weeks. After that 8 weeks, you are responsible to make sure they never wind
up homeless in a shelter or rescue. To ensure that, you will have to do
homechecks and make up contracts to be certain the new owners are going to
take care of them for life. You have to agree to always be available to take
back your puppies no matter what.
If you want to be a responsible breeder, look up your local breed
club, jump in and educate yourself. Listen to the advice of REPUTABLE
breeders and learn all you can about your dog. If you just wanna make
puppies to sell for lotsa money, don't bother. We have too many of those
already.

Wow. You're breeding Chihuahuas with no clue what you're doing. You know what that means? Pups and mom will probably all DIE during pregnancy or labor.
Spay and neuter your dogs and stop being a money hungry backyard breeder. Dogs DO die from having puppies if someone as clueless as you is in charge of things.

If you don't know if they've bred how in the heck are we supposed to know? The only way to be sure is to do what GOOD breeders do and supervise them at all times. You don't just put two dogs together and hope they go at it. Dogs need to be supervised during breeding because they can and do get hurt.
Please get your girl spayed. You are not knowledgable enough about this and it is likely your dog will end up the victim of your little scheme.
Oh, and dogs don't have sex. People have sex. Dogs mate or breed.

Why would you risk your dog's life for blood money? Chihuahuas die in whelp and they die in shelters. Every single day. Leave it up to the knowledgeable show breeders. Go adopt another pet- AFTER you get yours spayed and neutered.
You can ignore me, but if you come back on here with a dying female or orphaned pups, I will not be sympathetic to someone who would not listen to reason and logic because they are GREEDY and want to sell puppies.

My suggestion is that if you REALLY feel like you want another puppy, go adopt another puppy and then get ALL of the dogs spayed/neutered. Leave breeding up to the professionals who know what they're doing.

Read here what happens when you breed Chihuahua's and don;t know what you are doing: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Am73hN4C4ZYWJNu_hUgAMeDsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20070917123628AAeu0AK&show=7#profile-info-7tCnkeIgaa
She has a dead mother and a pup she is trying to hand raise.
I pray they have not bred. Keep them apart in hopes they haven't or you may end up in the same position as the girl in the post I linked.
I'm not being mean. Just trying to ensure the welbeing of the female.
