Different ingrediants have different colors. There are multiple variations on green lettuces, from the rich and robust deep greens, to the paler yellowed hues. Then you have the field greens, that include radichio, mustard etc., and you're looking at rich reds, deep purples, and golden browns. The closer to the core of the lettuce, the lighter the color. Enjoy nature's palette!

Lettuce has so many variates, that you could say light green, dark green, purple, yellowish, and other colors in between.
So, to be safe, the color of salad is multi-hued.

That depends on the lettuce. There are varying types: Red leaf, Boston, green leaf, iceberg and so on. Red leaf has red around edges, there rest are green and iceberg is white b/ c it has no nutritional quality whatsoever but lots of water.
