I recently bought a windows validation code from someone (not windows though) and its a long code and I was wonderin where you enter it to make windows valid. Cause Im tryin to update IE6. Any ideas???

I know the code is a valid code because my dad used it on his computer. I just dont know where to put it.

If it's 25 characters in groups of five separated by hyphens, you enter it when you install Windows.

If it's not 25 characters, you probably got ripped off. Buying "validation codes" online is a good way to do that.

You cant buy a validation code, the code is generated on the computer is generated, so you cant transfer it to another.

If you meant a product key, ie. 25 digit.character code, and its for XP, then you need to use something like Magical Jellybean, as long as the new code you have matches the version of Windows you have installed already.

Who did you buy this code from? I will sell you some random numbers, cheap. The next time the message appears, telling you you have a pirated copy of windows, click on it. It should eventually give you a place to type your code.
