Yeah, because apparently the only reason they do anything good, or charitable, or why they don't steal, commit adultery, or murder, is because they want to go to Heaven, and because the Bible told them to, rather than actually realizing that they are good things to do in order to help your fellow human beings.

The Bible is THE source to check your morality against and is the book that we can find out about God and His plan of salvation in order to make the desision to be a Christian. And after we are saved we still need the Bible to keep us in check as if our morals do not line up with the Bible's it is our morals that need changed. Having said that, as a Christian of 20+ years, the Holy Spirit (that lives within Christians) has always let me know that I shouldn't do something before I sinned. It is still up to me as to whether or not I commit the sin, but I was warned first by the Holy Spirit. Sometimes it seems we are pulled in so many different directions that it is hard to tell what the Holy Spirit is telling us, it is in these times that it is good to go to the Bible to look at the examples that God has provided us with.

I disagree. There are things that seems right unto man but the ways thereof are the ways of death! There are things that are good to other but evil to other or vice versa.
Men needs guidance from God. So God dictate this to the prophets through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The reason why it is called BIBLE! - Because it is a BASIC INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE LEAVING EARTH.
Everyone needs the Bible. For us, the Bible is God's Word, able to make us "wise unto salvation," (2 Tim 3:15). Scripture is our principle guide to knowing God and to living lives that please Him. The fact is, though, that the vast majority of us can't read the Bible in the languages it was first written in, and if we have a Bible to read today it is because someone translated it for us.
There are quite a few ways now for you to get the Bible on the go. The slightly older method is to purchase the software for your smartphone from a company such as Olive Tree. But I would be cheating you if I didn’t share a free way as well that works with most all phones.
The NET Bible offers a wap version (wap is the cellular version of the internet) of their Bible. All you have to do is enter wap.bible.org in your cell phone’s web browser and not only do you have access to the entire Bible, but also the extensive notes that the NET is famous for. The ESV also has a mobile version of their translation at www.esv.org/mobile. The ESV includes a few devotions and a chronological and one-year Bible.

In the article, the Atheist states, "I fully advocate atheism for rational, sensible people who have an innate sense of what’s right and wrong."
This is very interesting. Because what besides God can give human beings "an innate sense of what’s right and wrong"?
This is actually part of Catholic doctrine.
Catholics believe that the natural moral law is written and engraved in the soul of each and every human. This law enables people to discern by reason the good and the evil, the truth and the lie.
For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, section 1954 and following: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt3sect1chpt3.htm#art1
The Bible reinforces, explains, and expands the moral law of God.
With love in Christ.

No i personally don't agree because the bible is like a letter that a loving father sends to his children, he tells us how he feels about certain things and how his words are practical for everyday life such as Ephesians 6:1 helps us to see children should obey their parents or Ephesians chapter 5 about roles of husbands and wives.
The bible is not here to set morals because we lack them, everyone has freedom of choice its so we can understand what god himself would deem acceptable in our life and how we can have purpose in life.

No, as the bible goes beyond what feels comfortable to people in general. As it asks us to go beyond our own feelings, and logic.
How easy is it for any one with inborn morals, to love their enemy's and bless those who curse you? And if morals are all inborn then wouldn't the jails be empty, and the need for police forces non existent?

No, I don't need the bible to tell me right from wrong. I need God in my heart though. I started to read the Bible only after I learned it was written by people that had followed Jesus, I was curious about it and from then on I realized the people in it made mistakes just like you and I. I went to a catholic school for 8 years, and as I grew up I figured I was going to hell for all the sins I comitted, and I started to question all that was instilled in me and all that I new or thought I knew about God, and I thought there has to be more to this guy than making me burn in hell for breaking a commandment, everyone breaks them. Then a friend helped me understand by reading it with me. Then I realized why God sent Jesus to us, so we all would not burn in hell. It didn't happen over night, but the more I read the more I started to get it. I'm sure this isn't the answer you are looking for, but I thought I'd share it anyway. The Bible is just like reading about your anscestors and all the trials they went through. It is just interesting for those that want to learn about the path that Jesus walked to save us.

People who do not use the bible will end up sinning against God even the act "feels good" to do based on their own judgement. At that point, you are doing your way, not God's righteous way. Yes, everyone should read the bible for their own sake.
