http://www.irminsul.org/se/se.html really is an excellent suggestion. The whole http://www.irminsul.org/ site is excellent.

To others: He didn't say Wiccan, and speaking as a Wiccan, I suspect Wiccans don't do magic in the way many of you think we do.

First of all Seidhr is more shamanic in nature, and not what you would associate with Wiccan form of magic. It's more of a gift that some people have (although some will say it's kind of a curse as well).

From your avatar, I may deduce that you are male? Then I hope you're only planning to learn about it, and don't count on practicing effectively. Well, true seidhr is a predominately a female practice and traditionally men who practice it wear women's clothes during the Seidh.

hrafnar.org is the best source I know of - I know a couple of folks on the west coast involved in it, and I can vouch for them.

Seidr is... complex, from my limited understanding. As Robin said, it's a bit more shamanistic in nature - most of the stuff I hear about from Hrafnar is oracular seidr, basically vision-working. There's a whole lot of details, though, so I'd recommend doing research before setting yourself on that path.

First off, NEVER use wiki as a source for religion. Especially not one that is as misunderstood as ours. We are NOT witches. We are NOT wiccan. We do not do magic in the sense that they do. There is nothing wrong with it, but it's not our way. *edit: when one uses the term "witch craft" we sometimes wrongly assume you are speaking of Wicca. We don't generally use the term in our path.
If you choose to follow any path, I suggest finding a credible practioner to have an open diologue with. Do not mess with things you don't understand. Our gods are not quiet and do not suffer fools lightly.

It depends on whether you are well versed in other forms of witchcraft. Its a very dangerous and lonely path. Not to be taken lightly

http://www.hrafnar.org and http://www.ealdriht.org/modules/runes/ both give information on seidhr and Asatru witchcraft.

Please dont associate the 2. Asatru magik and Wiccan magik are different. Some wiccan may use the Runes, but Asatru magik only involves Runes (and color and meaning).
