Even in the light of certain facts?

1) The bible wasn't compiled until 300 years after Christ died on the cross.

2) The man who compiled it WAS NOT Christian, murdered his family, and only supported Christianity for political purposes. This man was Constantine, the emperor of Rome.

3) There are over 30 books mentioned in the Bible that are NOT found in the Bible. If the prophets themselves mentionted these books , how can the Bible contain the wholeness of the Gospel? (Ex. Book of Samuel the Seer, Book of Nathan the Prophet, Missing Epistle of Jude (Jude 1: 3))

4) Men profess to know Christ but will not accept the obvious fact that HE WAS MARRIED. (Jesus was a Jew living in Jerusalem. If you study ancient Jewish culture, you see that Christ would NOT have been allowed to speak in public if he was a single man. Also, every time people in the NT refer to him as "Teacher, Master, Rabbi, Father, etc..." you should know that these titles were only used for MARRIED men.)

1) Why is 'necessity is the mother of invention' not applicable to the reason why the Bible was compiled. I am not saying they 'made up' scriptures then (that is another debate). but they did come together in order to combat various teachings thought to be 'heretical'. The Bible as we know it, was put together then, not 'made up' then, because the scriptures were already in their possession when they came together. We have copies of manuscripts and fragments older than the Council of Nicea even today.

2) He was apparently Christian. Otherwise he wouldn't have given a damn. Neither would he pay so much attention to the proceedings. A man living in those times who was brought up in violence would tend to be a violent man. You act like the man had the United Nations was around to tell him what a War Crime was. He didn't grow up like we did. He was acting like those who grew up with him acted. You might consider finding out what a Christian really is. Your statement shows that you do not understand.

3) I really don't think that there are 30. But what's the point? And if we do not have those books, it would be a pretty good reason why they wouldn't be there. Where ever you got this stuff is establishing rhetoric with you which looks like it got you.

Jesus Christ was not married that we know of. He said over and over again that He was speaking what the Father told Him to say. You might want Him to be quiet, but he said that the stones themselves would praise Him is all was quiet. He is greater than you and me.

1. It doesn't matter when It was compiled. What is more important is when it was written and you'll find that makes it very reliable. (See The Case for Christ)

2. Constantine, himself didn't compile it. There was a much larger group than just the one man who is responsible for the cannon of scripture. Also, he helped COMPILE it. He didn't write it. Therefore I couldn't care less what kind of man he was.

3. There is no proof that Jesus was married or than the disciples lied about his marital status. Even assuming that what you have stated was the social norms of the time you fail to consider the fact that Jesus didn't support many of the social norms of that era and often firmly stood against them. A man also wasn't allowed to claim that he could forgive sins. But Jesus Christ did.

1. When the bible was compiled is not as relevant as whether or not what is in there is scripture or not.
2. As noted by others Constantine was not the compiler, he merely ordered it to be done. this, however, is significant in that it was politically motivated and not ordered by holy men of God as moved by The Holy Spirit. We have no way of knowing how competent the men chosen for this task were.
3. The missing books in the o.t. are not significant because Jesus told us that the o.t. is not scripture.
4. No verifiable evidence to prove Jesus marital status. You make an assumption based on speculation.

1) It wasn't complied before then, but all the pieces were there well before then. The Bible wasn't made up 300 years after Christ, it was just organized then.

2) He wasn't the only one to do it, it was a council of over 250 men who voted on all this. God has used non-Christians for the benefit of Christians before, like Jesus standing in front of Pilate. Pilate basically let Jesus be killed even though He was innocent, but yet it had to be done.

3) I want to see references to all these. Show me where these books are mentioned.

4) I don't know if you've noticed this, but Jesus upset quite a few Jewish customs. He allowed his disciples to pick wheat on the Sabbath, He kept people from stoning a prostitute, etc. If Jesus had a tendancy to follow Jewish customs your argument might be valid. As for having to be married, the prophet Nehemiah was never married, and yet he led Israel in the rebuilding of Jerusalem. Yes, it was common, but not ALWAYS true.

People don't believe what Jesus himself said in the Bible why would they listen to any other established facts?

Rome hijacked the faith to control people. Christians in the majority believed in reincarnation until Rome found it desirable for them not to so they killed off the Cathars.

Many Christians really believe that it's wrong NOT to kill if provoked or in war!

I've been accused of being an officer in Satans army for telling people that if you are born of the spirit you'll find the Father inside you and you are one with God. The entire base of the Good News is that we receive the power of being the Children of God.

It was said:
2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

The power is in knowing that God is true to his word and if Jesus calls us God and you believe Jesus is God will you then call him a liar?

Do not deny the power thereof...

I can justify this: no matter who compiled it, or when it was written or by whom, it works. If you take the words to heart, which is what faith is, it will change your life. The words of the Bible deal with every area of life, even drug addiction, and almost all of the prophecies have come to pass. If you read it, and if you accept it and believe it, it will give you answers to any and every situation in life. That's enough for me to believe that the Bible is God-inspired.

The bible wasn't compiled until 300 years after Christ, but most of the books used to compile it were in circulation within 70 years of his death. And if you ask any historian or scientist that makes the books reliable because they were in circulation shortly after the events talked about.

Your facts are squirreled up friend, but those of us who live by faith don't need to justify it.
Jesus justified us by His blood and faith just says that we live like we believe that. Smile.
Constantine had absolutely NOTHING to do with Jesus Christ of Nazareth building His church..., Constantine built a religion around the born-again people and made it religious to make himself more acceptable and make a place of power for himself. He is NOBODY to we who belong to Jesus and Father God..., other than a blip in the screen of history of the growth of the Lord's church. Constantine only did anything regarding Christians because his mother was converted and wanted him to stop the brutality toward Christians. He didn't do anyone any favors.
Jesus WAS married.., "to his Bride, the Church; 'the called out Ones', and still IS and is coming for His bride to participate in the marriage feast of the Lamb. We who have said, "Yes", to His proposal are now espoused to Him (same as Mary was to Joseph) and the consomation will be in heaven!
You don't truly understand this most holy JEWISH relationship. Jesus was/is a Jew, from the seed of Abraham, just as are ALL Messianic believers and ALL Christians. We are born of faith in the Word sown in our hearts by the gospel. That WORD takes root inside our heart and it impregnates us as it did the virgin Mary and we are born of the Spirit and are "born-again", not of the will of man, but of God, thus making us children of faith; as is Abraham.., the ORIGINAL father of all those who KNOW and believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

God inspired a book. Yet God is alive and he comes to us then he makes his word clear. The word of God is like a fire in the souls of men. It burns clear up to heaven and we give him all the praise. The natural man knows nothing about the Father of heaven but God knows a lot about you!
