wordman: you are speaking from ignorance if you do not think evolution has anything to do with medical research. evolution permeates all branches of science including medical research

9_ladydi: you also speak from ignorance. evolution is not simply the theory we evolved from goo. that's pure lack of knowledge of evolution

derek again: I see the statement at the end now. biology is the root of medicine and biology relies, or is intertwined, with evolutionary theory. it would not prosper without it.

Yeah, I can just imagine how it would be after stem-cell technology finally reaches its potential....
"Sorry Mr. Christian, we have the technology to repair your broken spinal cord, but we're gonna leave you paralyzed 'cause you've never really believed in science."
"No cure for your diabetes, because you don't believe in technology."
"Too bad you didn't support evolution when you had the chance. Now, you're going to die from a disease that's easily treatable, all because you indirectly denied treatment to others, because of your ignorant superstitions. No cures for bigots!
Not bloody likely! You can count on Christians being first in line to save their own butts, whenever a new technology comes on line. Will they have even a second thought for those who suffered and died while Christians were busily resisting change for the sake of their asinine superstitions? Nope.

Having access to medical cures is not accepting evolution.
God gave scientist the brains to come up with the medicines and the doctors the skills to treat the sick.
Evolution is the the belief that you came out of the primordial goo, crawled out as a fish, became an ape and then a man.
I believe man was created from the outset.

You need to give us an example of what you are proclaiming.Take biology for an example:
‘Comparative physiology and comparative genomics have certainly been fruitful, but comparative biology originated before Darwin and owes nothing to his theory. Before the publication of The Origin of Species in 1859, comparative biology focused mainly on morphology, because physiology and biochemistry were in their infancy and genomics lay in the future; but the extension of a comparative approach to these sub-disciplines depended on the development of new methodologies and instruments, not on evolutionary theory and immersion in historical biology.’
Dr Philip Skell.
Evolution is not needed for science to prosper.

Modern medical science consists of study of organisms as they appear and function TODAY and not as they supposedly appeared and functioned millions of years ago. When a man presents to a hospital he is treated like a human being and not like an ape or an ameba from which he may have 'evolved'. Therefore, the medical treatment of a human being has nothing to do with HOW he got here.

no, although it would be useful if the doctors pointed out the importance of evolution in discovering the treatments to patients before they got it.

I wouldn't deny them, but they themselves should be avoiding all medical interventions based on biological research.
They are quick to condemn science, and state that science and evolution are wrong, but yet they are more than willing to trot on down to the doctors to get antibiotics, for their infections.
I don't get it. Seems to me like they have a double standard.

If so, then you'd also have to deny evolutionists access to social services, like from the Red Cross if there is a disaster, since the principal of giving and helping those in need is a spiritual principal, based on the Bible, God and Christianity, which all support creation.

Sounds like a good idea. ANYONE who is religious should be denied medical care, because medical care is interfering with god's plan, right?

I don't think that they should be denied, but I do think that they should refuse Medicine if it has anything to do with evolution, of course this won't happen, but I can dream.

Why because scientists used the ability that god gave them to obtain knowledge and use it for the betterment of mankind. We should all benefit from it.
