She started as two separate embryos (each with a soul according to Christians) that later fused in the womb into one. She has two different sets of DNA in her cells. Some cells have the set from one twin, some from the other. How many souls are there? If you started with two and one had to die, which one was it?

Number of souls:
a) 1
b) 2
c) 0

Chimeraism, an interesting annomaly...I would say that one set of DNA dominates the other in her body, else she would be have two brains amongst other genetic anomolies and would probably not survive. As she distinctly is aware of herself as "one person" she would have one soul.

Why would you guess 0? Maybe she had 10, who knows?

Souls aren't necessarily distinct, indivisible, and nontransmutable.

I think the answer is the billions or trillions category...one soul for every cell (every sperm is sacred, that sort of thing).
