I so very agree with you. I think we should open ourselves to Knowledge. We must learn the Value of tolerance, compassion and love which is exactly what the world needs today. Life is a great opportunity to share Love and give all that we can, for society contribution. We must not condemn others including atheists since after all they are our kind. If we condemn them, we condemn ourselves. Everyone should be more Christ like!
EDIT: It is believed Mary Magdalene may possibly have been the woman caught in adultery,
about to be stoned to death, when Jesus Christ intervened and told the
crowd, "Let him without sin cast the first stone." Everyone in the crowd
dropped their stones. None was without sin. Jesus asked Mary Magdalene where
her accusers were. She said they've all gone. Jesus said, "Neither do I
condemn you. Go and sin no more."

If you anaylze this scenario, it contains Justice, advice and forgiveness.

Hi, Rachel. You make a couple of presumptions in your question: That pagans are more Christlike, and that everyone knows what Christlike means.
By "Christlike," do you mean going out to preach repentance (Matthew 4:17)? Do you mean preserving the essential laws handed down through the Hebrews (Matthew 5:17)? Do you mean talking about the dangers of hell (e.g., Matt 5:22)? Do you mean comparing contemporary cities to Sodom (Matthew 10:15)? Do you mean in teaching that sexual immorality makes a person unclean (Matt 15:19-20)? Do you mean telling an adulteress to leave her life of sin (John 8:11)?
You may be confusing the actual Christ with a figure I call "surfer dude Jesus," who has appeared in several Hollywood makeovers of Christianity.
Cheers,
Bruce

It depends on what you see. Do you know Christ? Do you live like a pagan by definition or fooling yourself. I know you do not think God makes a choice between the muslim and the Christian. Do you know a Christian is called by Christ name. Just like there is a fake in a diamond so it is with those that claim to know God. God is not a pace. He is.

Because Christ's message was about finding the treasures of heaven within without having to have organized religion, about love, against sacrifice, about helping others. Christians don't follow this message, but rather follow a book of stories that was assembled by people who's agenda was to manuipulate and control other people, and which is perpetuated by: the delusional descendents of those who had been indoctrinated into worshipping this perverted Dogma; those that had been conquered and were forced to subserviate themselves or be tortured and/or murdered and forced to allow their children to be brainwashed into not only believing, but into spreading this disease; and by those who crave the power and prestige that being worshipped by their followers as a "spiritual leader" brings.
Jesus would be horrified at how most of the people behave that claim to act in his name.
I have not yet met a Pagan who wasn't about love, of both people and of nature. Pagans are more Christlike because they tend to not be judgemental of others, tend to have empathy for others, even those that do not believe as they do.
Christians (and Muslims) claim that what they believe is the truth, and when someone doesn't agree, rather than think about the discrepancy reasonably, they tend to try to force the other opinion out of existance... by any means necessary (terroristic behaviors like scaring children into professing to believe or they will burn forever, bombing medical clinics, conquering whole cultures and killing those that won't "assimilate", torturing those that don't believe as they do, etc.).
I have never met a Pagan that tries to force you to believe as they do, nor have I met one that vilifies you for not believing as they do.
If Pagans were in charge the world would be a much more peaceful, happy place. I'd vote for a Pagan over a Fundie any day.

I guess you're saying we should all be pagans then? I don't know what kind of Christians people on these forums hang out with, but most of the Christians I know are awesome. Yet you always see people making disparaging remarks like this. Did Jesus predict that unfair generalizations like this would occur?

Simple, modern christianity was founded on pagan principles...early christians, when trying to spread the word of jesus to pagan civilizations, adopted pagan themes into their teachings so that the pagans would understand and better accept the word of the lord...so, if you look at modern teachings of christianity and then study pagan beliefs, you see common themes...of course, conservative bible beaters will tell you that my words are false, but what do they know, they still think women should be bare foot and pregnant and DON'T believe we evolved from primates

I'm a Christian. I see "Christ-like" behavior among many of my non-Christian friends (Jews, Pagans, Muslims, atheists, et cetera). To me, such behavior encompasses a sense of charity, kindness, acceptance of others, and treating others with dignity. This type of behavior can be practiced by Christians and non-Christians alike. Morality and basic human kindness aren't relegated to Christians alone.
