You probably meant to ask if you need Vista to run Office 2007. The answer is no. I'm running Office 2007 fine on my Windows XP machine.

You don't have to have Office 2007. You don't have to have office of any kind for Vista but you can use Office 2003 if you already have it. Otherwise you can use Open Office or some other program. Vista does not require office.

Windows Vista will run without ANY version of office quite happily.

Hoverer to run Office on Vista you may well need 2007, best bet is to check the requirements and compatabilitry lists on www.microsoft.com

I think; but I could be wrong, that you may have it the other way around. You may need Vista in order to run Office 2007.

office 2007 is an office program - vista is an operating program - you probably need vista to run office 2007 but it does not work the other way - since my office 2007 was a temporary program i removed mine and installed office xp - so i now have vista as the operating program and xp and the office programs such as excel and word/ it works just fine. pat
