There are days when it's about 75 degrees, but the weather is surprisingly sunny. I've always thought that the temperature needs to be sufficiently hot in order to get a tan, but i see guys out in the pool when it's on the cool side. Are these simply misconceptions?

You can get a tan or sunburn even on a cloudy day.

Temperature has ZERO to do with tanning. It is UV rays emmited by the sun. Trust me on this I live in Canada and it could be -25 degrees out side and the uv rays bouncing off the snow is enough to give you a hell of a sunburn.
