I care, but It's hard to deal with foreign nations since our own cultural bias prevent us to determine what's write and wrong. I don't like the idea and going to say what is wrong with their country, because it's like saing your country is inferior. I see so many political game out there, that I am hesitant to act on Human rights violation. THe Clinton Administration attacked China for Child Labor, and treatment of their minorities, but awarded Nafta to Mexico, when they hae the same problem, plus the administration at that time had drug ties, and was murdering their opponents. I don't think we should fund militant groups like for Cuba, but we should end trade with countries that we feel our culture is incompatible with.

Edit: I went to the article on Labor trafficking. Yes we need to stop contractors from holding passports of their workforce, but we need to stop employers here from using H1b visas in a similar fashion as well.

I care, and I'm still surprised at the complacency others take on the position. If they'd read other sources, like the 122 page agreement with NAFTA, and the CAFTA agreements they might begin to get a clue.

Then of course there is after all the google search they could be doing on KBR's Internment Camps, that gee already some of which have been built in the United States. I wish they'd read all about that and really educate their minds. Especially as to who all REALLY qualifies for the use of those Internment Camps..

Starvation, and Murders are a couple to name for the abuses you're asking about. Much worse happens in between.

But yeah Slew has it right. Cut off and stop the Trade Agreements. And the Abuses will STOP as well. Got to do that tho by getting a hold of your Congress Members and demand that they Abolish the NAFTA, and CAFTA Free Trade Agreements. Email, call, or fax them. They'll get the message.

If you are combating for the correct of a person to be a girl, yeah, that is ungraceful... If you consider whatever's unfair, you will have to consider approximately your explanations for believing that... You might uncover you had been simply being dumb... EDIT: "There are a few inequities of their potential to [.........] get coverage, get tax advantages, etc..." Civil union addresses the ones concerns... So it isn't a legitimate argument for homosexual marriage... There's whatever deeper concerned for your help than the rational aspects you would carry; finally, it comes all the way down to an irrational feeling... The trouble with devout wingnuts and liberal lovers is not that they pass along side a institution, it is that they negotiate truth irrationally, established on feelings... The devout wingnut believes in a holy publication and feels conviction considering the fact that of that... The liberal feels disappointed over perceived "unfairness" or "closed-mindedness"--some thing that limits his ego in its potential to precise itself and think that the unattainable is possible... You do not must be a diehard Moonbat to consider like a liberal... There's no unified coverage or rulebook... Some liberals help environmentalism, a few don't... There's a wide variety of disorders that draw in liberals, and nobody liberal has to--nor would he--help all of them... Now, approximately homosexual marriage being regarding the potential of gays to undertake children......... You're pronouncing that, considering the fact that married couples get preferential healing from adoption groups, that places gays at a drawback? And the answer is to legally appreciate homosexual marriages? Do you've got any concept how loopy that's? Legally calling it "marriage" does not difference the truth that it is 2 gays residing in combination, and that's no longer the equal as a husband and spouse!

Dog Tricks shouldn't you be asking the countries where this takes place . These countries do not listen to what other countries say. They can only suggest then it's up that country. If you read amnesty international displays human rights abuse but only they can make it public mainly the government has to make changes within their own countries. This is the same as the UN can only suggest but cannot do anything. Human has been going on since time begin
Dog Tricks we caused it ? Mexico had their people their people there and signed the papers without any problem. But what is interesting none of these cases have been tryed in a court of law rather we are reading someones opinion of what they think is going going on. Todate none of this has been forwarded to a court of law for it to be looked into. There links do not make it the whole truth and the last word on the subject. The people breaking the law are all not fine upstanding people. I'd like to see where any of this has been tryed in court not wrote about but tryed in a court of law. This is not spewing hate it's much more like show me what happened as a result of a lawsuit.

I have said repeatedly at Y/A, the UN needs to bring pressure to bear on Mexico for humanitarian purposes. It is ridiculous that a nation with wealth and resources have the problems that Mexico has brought upon itself.
It doesn't have the real problems of a nation like Darfur, or any of the 50 of the worlds' most impoverished nations, many of those under harsh government regimes. Those nations have few options. Mexico has plenty of options, but has historically refused to put them into effect.
That said, it is not the responsibility of the US to solve those problems and take in illegal aliens, simply because Mexico has a corrupt and greedy government. My sympathies lie far more with US children who go hungry, families without insurance and a sick child, the elderly who are barely scraping by, our homeless. When those problems are solved, then perhaps our humanitarian efforts would be best directed at helping those in truly poor nations, not those with resources they simply misuse for purposes of greed.

Below is a link to the 50 most poor nations. Mexico is not one. Haiti is, yet we turn their people away.

we keep being told we are not the world police, if we are sending troops to fix the problems. then if we do nothing, we are told we need to accept refuges, and send millions in aide. yes, i care. would l open our borders and give them welfare here? no. people need to fix their countries, not come here and screw up this one. do not beg for our money, then tell us we can't go there to make sure our help gets to the poor, and not to built another palace for some rich family that runs the country. illegals come here because they have been told we will give them a living, housing, medicines, education.

send the marines in and let them do their job, do not limit them. straighten out some of these other places so their people are not tortured and killed by their government, and they could stay there and built a life.
and before someone cries, i served 5 years in the USMC.
i volunteered the same as the rest of them. there is no draft. let them defend themselves and do their jobs

LOL Yeah right stop illegal immigration. Let me tell you it is nothing to do with civil rights abuses and all about the $$$.
The only time immigrants are over here for civil rights is when the government offers asylum to those types from war torn countries and they already know about them. The ILLEGALS come over here to taakaway our wages, and send them back home to support and make families rich there.

Nothing will stop illegal immigration until we the AMERICAN people take a stand and secure our borders better and send back all the illegals.

I certainly care -- what happens to any human being is, to some extent, my concern. On the other hand, I also have to prioritize, since I only have so much energy to spend. More power to the people who work against these civil rights abuses, but I'm not sure we can make them our priority.

HIYA- CONTACT. WELL IN MEXICO THEY DO AND SOME OF IT IS SUSPECTED CAUSE OF NAFTA. 400 WOMEN DEAD ON THE BORDER AND COUNTING. NOBODY CARES HERE. THEY FIGURE IT'S MEXICO'S PROBLEM. BUT THESE WOMEN WORK IN USA FACTORIES. IN LIBERIA AND OTHER PARTS OF AFRICA, WOMEN ARE SLAUGHTERED, RECRUITED, RAPED, KILLED AND FOR TRADE OF BLOOD DIAMOND AND SO ARE THE CHILDREN AND FOR WHAT? FOR FREEDOM FIGHTING OR WARS THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND? IN EUROPE WOMEN AND CHILDREN ARE FORCED IN TO THE SEX TRADE EVERYDAY AND AS OLD AS 3. MY SISTER WAS A VICTIM OF IT IN EL SALVADOR DURING THE WASR IN THE 80'S. PEOPLE DON'T CARE. AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T AFFECT THEM, THEY FIGURE IT DOESN'T COUNT.

I don't really care. I think illegal immigration is a wonderful thing. It proves that Homeland Security doesn't really care about terrorists getting into our country. If terrorists were a concern, they would close the borders. After all, anyone can walk right into America right now.
