You can go to www.phonezoo.com This is a free website and it sends a text to your phone and when you open the message, the song will start playing. You save this as your ringtone. It's easy and you can create your own and even download other songs. I love it!!!

i think ringtone is mp2 right....?
well something for free is Windows Media Player 11.
just like you burn a CD to the computer you can choose to burn it to a diffrent format. its not .mp3 or .wma so choose the 3rd option. also WMP-11 can play protected songs without the doc you need to play it!
