I've gotten some awfully stupid, hilarious replies about how wanting to experience a pleasurable, happy existance (oppisite of being miserable) is actually bad???

Well, you tell me this now.

What do you call indulging in those mansions they provide for up there?

What do you call indulging in those streets of gold that have up there?

What do you call indulging in eating from that fruit from
"The Tree of life" up there?

How can you say those are good and other things that want to be experience are bad? There's nothing wrong or bad about wanting sex with nice-looking women. They say when you go there, you will still have all your physical parts(inlcuding all the private parts), and your possibilites are unlimited.

It's bad enough Christians say they want people to die virgins if they don't marry, and now they are gonna say there's no sex up there? That's like adding insult to injury.

we live the life we are given here. we will live the life we are given there and live better... of course we'll indulge in our surroundings. our priorities change. no more greed, selfishness, or jealously. u won't want more than your fellow neighbor or lust for his riches because every ones soul is literally free and equal. the ultimate declaration of independence. something u can't fathom yet...

I really don't have a clue what you just asked. I love my life as a Christian. I'm always having a good time. My Christian friends are just like brothers and sisters. We get together and go out to eat; some of us hunt and fish together; others golf together. No, we don't have sex together but that's not a need for us. We all, as far as I know, are satisfied at home. And I'm not sure about your physical parts statement. According to my understanding of the Bible, that's not accurate. Maybe you should check out the Bible on your own instead of just asking on R&S.

Well first of all we are not getting a mansion. Jesus said in my fathers house there are many mansions John 14:1-6. (present tense) I go to prepare a place for you ( future tense) what he prepared he did not say what it was. Might be mansions might not. Streets are paved of gold because God owns the whole universe, gold is just rock to him. The tree of life is food and we get to eat what God prepared for us. There will be no gluttony in heaven (that is sin) we will just enjoy what God made for us.
