I was an atheist long before I even cared whether I had a libido or not. Also, I'm male and have been, more or less, permanently horny since the onset of puberty at about twelve.

It's just the nature of atheists . People without religious issues tend to be better lovers because they don't have all that baggage to drag them down The end result is that a decrease in restrictions translates to an increase in libido.

I never really noticed it (although I didn't become an atheist, just a non-fundamentalist), I think the libido is always there, you just don't feel guilty about it anymore.

I have a dear friend who has gone through some tough trials, and now does not believe in God. Instead of an increase in libido (from the person in the know), we all notice an increase in depression. He is increasingly bitter, despondant, and disappointed with life as a whole. He let go of faith, and embraced dispair instead.
It's really a sad situation.
BTW, none of us (believing) friends hound him about his decision. Thought you would like to know. Hounding anybody never increased faith; it tends to do the opposite. Our loved one needs to discover God on his own, or it will mean nothing.

Not really, but the idea that I didn't have to worry about what some being that didn't exist thinks, total happiness. I think it's different for everyone, but the first time I said the word 'atheist' out loud, fabulous.

Ten p.c. drop in those saying they are christian in decrease than a decade!! yet maximum say they are christian just to keep away from the intolerance and persecution of the christians!! The church homes own figures practice basically 28% ever attend church in a year. certainly if 28% ever tried to attend church on the comparable day, even working shifts, there is basically no longer sufficient church homes!! yet count quantity the bars - in many places there is better area interior the bars than the church homes!!

No, I've always had the libido, just like any other alcoholic Irish-American.

I wish. Part of being an atheist is a broad interest in things that unfortunately otherwise preoccupy your time... :(
