If he likes me but doesn't know I have a boyfriend?

He's in my college classes and he's very nice and kind of flirty, there's never been a time that i could just come out and say "i have a boyfriend" because he's never hit on me, but if he finds out i do have a boyfriend will he still be cool around me? Or will it be strange for him... guys are not like girls so i have no idea.

If you tell him you have a boyfriend, it is like telling him to "back off."

There is no need to tell him you have a boyfriend until he actually does "hit on you."

You're leading him on that's what you're doing.

Deep down, you know there's a chance that he's interested and that's probably the reason why he's cool around you. You manipulate the situation to work in your favour. Now you're looking for a way to keep this going by giving you an excuse not to tell him about your boyfriend.

Let him know you have a boyfriend, if he really is a friend then having a boyfriend shouldn't be an issue.

Girl, if he is into you, he's into you. I find that most guys don't care if you have a boyfriend unless they are looking for just one thing. If he likes you, he'll stay friends with you--if not only to keep you around to see what may come (literally).

It all comes back to the age old question, can men and women be friends without the guy (or gal) wanting to have sex. It's compliated for sure.

Good luck.

Does it really make a difference? If he can't deal with your having a bf, what's the point of trying to be friends with him. Are you thinking of keeping him on reserve, if things with your bf don't work out? If that's your motive, forget it. Just be honest with him. I'm sure that if he's a mature well-rounded guy, he'll still be friendly. If not, it's no loss.

I'm inclined to agree or possibly it is just me but I could never treat a girl the same. Friendship to me is just a step to having a special relationship which if it works out then serious connecting. Other wise I have no desire to hang out with a girl.As I have said it maybe just me.

He may see it as a challenge if he does like you. It's hard to say. SOme guys might, some won't. I suggest you maybe just nonchalantly mention dinner plans with your bf. Don't make a big deal of it. Act as though he knows already.

spam_free had a good idea. Mention it in conversation when he is talking about some place he drove or went to or something he did. Just casually mention 'my boyfriend and i went there' or something similar ya know. Very easy way to let him know.

for me that wouldn't matter cause guys always think they may win you over even if you have a boyfriend so i think he will keep talking and flirting with you....should he find out you have a b/f. but don't you think its neat to have the attention he is giving you..so i guess you must be a pretty fine girl..so you may need to be ready for what your going to do when he ask you out..cause i think it will come to that later if he keeps flirting with you...good luck

If he knows you have a boyfriend, he is likely to act the same way. After all, he hasn't made any moves on you yet...only now he can't because he knows you're hitched. God bless.
