Offer your sincere appreciation for her specific care and the results you have experienced (improvement in symptoms a diagnosis, or simply a doctor who did not dismiss your symptoms). It is best to avoid negative references to other physicians, but definitely express your appreciation to the doctor who helped you. Thanks are never out of place.

Maybe if you go and talk to her in person it'll come out better. Just tell her how grateful you are to have found her. I'm sure she'll be more than happy to spend the extra two minutes of her time in hearing you tell her something that will make her day ;o).

Dear Dr. Doright,
I've been so impressed by your professionalism and your caring attitude toward my medical care that I felt I had to write and express myself to you. I've had several unpleasant experiences of late that have made me wonder if anyone cares. You have restored my faith!
Thank you, sincerely.
Warm Regards,
Mimi

I would suggest avoiding anything that is critical for her profession. For example, I wouldn't mention this doctor being 1 in a million that "actually care."

Other than that, keep it simple. Thank her for her care, she was kind, gentle, caring, etc, etc, etc.

Write a simple Thank you, as long as the words are from the heart, it will be meaningful. Don't make it too long or wordy.

' I appreciate the level of care I recently received from you and your office. I will recommend you to anyone who needs similar care. I sincerely thank you.' Signed, your name
