The Bible refers to Satan the Devil as “the god of this world.” (2Corinthians 4:4) At Revelation 12:9 he is said to be “misleading the entire inhabited earth.”The worshipful adoration that men direct toward their idol-gods actually goes to demons, and not to God as the scripture says. Jehovah God requires exclusive devotion. (Isaiah 42:8) The one who worships an idol-god denies the true God and thus serves the interests of Jehovah’s chief Adversary, Satan, and his demons. According to the Bible, .Satan the Devil posing as “an angel of light,” has misled millions into following his teachings rather than God’s. (2 Corinthians 11:14) Satan has promoted religious systems that on the surface appear to be holy but their true condition is exposed by the evil fruitage they produce. (Matthew 7:15-20) Instead of helping to solve mankind’s problems, religion actually becomes part of the problem. Those people would likely have been shocked to think that they were worshiping demons. They thought that they were worshiping a good god, or gods, of some kind. Yet, in reality they had been deceived by “wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places,” who support Satan in his efforts to mislead mankind.—Ephesians 6:12.Most would be shocked at the thought of sacrificing to demons, communing with demons. This is not their intent. However, Satan manages to deceive people into thinking that their form of worship is approved by God or that it does not matter what one believes or how one worships. This is false as this scripture helps us to understand.

It has various applications - to include the things that the nations support that are unholy and worldly such as
abortion (can even be compared to the old religions that
included child sacrifice)
We all worship something, even science and humanity
(as the Atheists do).
We need to worship God above everything.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word of
God will not pass away! All things become new
only in Christ Jesus our Lord for eternity.
Satan and his demons seek who they might
devour with deceit.
The scripture, basically, is a warning not to follow the
crowd (the nations) in their disbelief!
Good question!

It talking about nations giving worship to demons. This could only be by means of Christendom since it is a sacrafice that more than 1/3 of the earth is giving into. This is seen as so by the fact Christianity has imbedded traditions and pagan customs that connect to other gods or dieties that originate due to satan.God (the one and only) is admonishing us not to be part of this (Babylon the great) because he does not want us to be associated with such wicked things or fall with her at Armageddon. All of which i am referring is recorded or prophesied in Revelation.

In a literal context during Paul's time, it would mean that the surrounding pagan nations are not sacrificing to "gods", but to demons/fallen angels.
In a more modern context, it could mean that what the "world" considers a sacrifice is really for bad, not good. To use an example, sacrificing your children to the goddess of "choice", and saying, "It's better for the world".

Men who are sacrificied in the wars of the world. From the muslim clerics strapping on a bomb to some young man to the churches standing behind the political leaders when they decide to send men to their death over some stupid reasons.
Religion always goes along with the political leaders in their quests for land, things, and oil.

God, writing by the hand of Paul, was speaking about idolatry.
The Bible I use has the word Gentiles instead of nations. Have no part in idolatry.

The majority of the ppl earth, follow Satan & his demons.
They do not follow Jesus nor his God & Father in heaven, Jehovah.
We (those who worship the true God, YHWH)
are to have no part in what they follow.
Don't do what they do.

The pagans (NON- BELIEVERS) sacrificed to a NON-LIVING idol--
BUT GOD LIVES.
You cannot have and believe in an idol AND God.
It's ONE OR THE OTHER>
As for me and my house, I will serve the Lord God.

None at all as I don't consider Corinthians or any of the Greek texts to be scriptural.
