my eyes have been really bloodshot for about 2 weeks now, and the only real problem they have given me thus far is that they've been really dry and sometimes it is hard to keep them open. the only thing i could believe is causing this is the fact that i have allergies and i get an allergy shot every week. i DO drink plenty of water and put visine-A drops in them every few times a day. what could the prob be and how do i deal with this/ get rid of the visible blood vessels?

Try one of the many artificial tears products at the drug store. Check with your doc. You could have Sjogren's syndrome.

There are a number of side effects that relate to Accutane. Some of which include: Optic neuritis, eye lid inflammation, lenticular cataracts, keratitis, blurred vision, blepharitis, conjunctivitis, papilledema as sign of benign intracranial hypertension and colour vision disturbances. Dry eyes and/or decreased tolerance to contact lenses have also been reported during therapy. In some instances these conditions have persisted after cessation of therapy. If you are experiencing anything like these you should first see a Pharmacist if you have to wait to see your Dermatologist. Consult them and then see what they would recommend. Then visit you dermatologist and discuss what you discussed with your pharmacist.

the visine-A is probably the PROBLEM! definitely not the solution.

visine-A has 2 main ingredients: naphazoline, which causes dryness, and an antihistamine, which ASLO causes dryness.

you need to stop the visine and start on artificial tears like optive or systane...

visine also CAUSES REDNESS! its called "rebound hyperemia"
