I am having a difficult time finding info on volunteering there. I would also like to find some people to go with me. Any help would be appreciated!

I commend your desire to help the poor and destitute. However, if this is your first ministry attempt in this field, I would suggest you start closer to home to see how you do. If you want to actually become a nun in the organization, find a branch closer to home than India. Don't throw away the money it takes to travel just to find out about your own ability to serve in this difficult area. Funds are desperately needed right where you live for helping the same population. Try to connect locally. It may not have the same "romance" of foreign travel, but the need is the same.

Bless you, and I hope you find success in helping others.

Stop by your local Catholic Church, they should be able to help you get some info on her. You could also check with the american embassy there, they should have a government website, you may have to contact your local Senator or House Rep but if you want to do it you can, good luck and God Bless You!!!

Pray. Act justly, love tenderly, walk humbly with God.

Here are links to Catholic Relief Services, they may serve others in India.

Most of the programs take groups of people at a time.
